The feeling of peace was at its peak in the early morning on the shore of Lac Superieur in the Laurentians. We stopped briefly on the way to the Mont-Tremblant Park where we were going to do some hiking. Summer is now well in place and we are enjoying it to the maximum.

Just looking at these pictures makes me feel warm and peaceful and sooooo relaxed – just as one should in summer. The reflections are glorious

Thanks Osyth. Glad you felt the calm of this lake. We felt like pulling a chair and staying there for the day but we also wanted to do some hiking so hiking won the day!

As much as I love peace and calm Hiking will always win me so I totally understand!

Such gorgeous reflections! I also like the red canoe. Summer has currently deserted us here 😦 Temprarily, I hope.

Nothing screams ‘summer in Canada’ more to me than a perfectly still lake mirroring the trees bordering it. It brings back memories of a childhood in Northern Ontario.
Beautiful photos! I especially like the 2nd one with the pop of the red boat 🙂
Suzanne et Pierre said:
Thanks Joanne. You are totally right about summer at the lake and the similarities with Northern Ontario though the mountains are a little higher here. The red boat seems to be the favorite of everyone…
joannesisco said:
haha! Yeah, the mountains are definitely not part of the backdrop of my childhood.
I come from the James Bay Lowlands which are VERY flat 🙂
Suzanne et Pierre said:
Not for me either. I am far a region called Abitibi which is also quite flat!

I’m somewhat familiar with Abitibi … it’s directly due east from where I’m from. I made a couple of trips a LONG time ago to La Sarre.

I am from Amos. Just a little further east from La Sarre.
