We didn’t spend much time on the northwest tip of Prince-Edward-Island. This is due to a lack of time and too great distances to make day trips. Moreover, the beaches on this coast weren’t as interesting. The only place we visited was West Point Provincial Park that offered a pretty lighthouse and a small fishing port.

The promise of a beautiful lighthouse always makes the trip worthwhile 🙂
Thanks Joanne. That lighthousse was the prettiest of the island…
I guess we can’t all be the most beautiful or the most interesting but it is wonderful that you have shared the allure that this coast does offer, even if it is limited to one rather gorgeous dish rather than a whole array to feast on!
Thanks Osyth. The Northwest coast may have had nice features but we never made it to explore it. This lighthouse was indeed very photogenic.
The time involved in driving to and from places means it is difficult, I think. Being here in New England I feel I have only barely scratched the surface in nearly a year. For my next trip which will extend to two years from next June I am already making a detailed plan otherwise I know I will not see a smidge of what I would like to on this amazing continent (including Canada, of course!)
You are totally right that there are a lot to see and planning is the key. We sometimes underestimate distances so we don’t get to see everything we thought we would do.
🙂 Well done for alerting us to the big bad wolf.
Thanks for your note. As I said to Osyth, there might have been nice areas but we never explored them.
That part of the Island has never been of interest other than as a commercial fishery. Still, you guys are able to capture the character of the place as you did in other fishing villages you’ve visited over the years. Since the sunsets series isn’t happening perhaps you could do one called “fishing shed from around the globe”.
Thanks Jacqui. Good suggestions for the fishing villages. I would have to visit the region but we didn’t have time.
This series is lovely.
Thanks Julia. It was a nice place…we truly enjoy our time in PEI.
