In the first post of this series, we mentioned that we had managed to find a sandy beach. You should know that sandy beaches are rare in Maine because the coast consists mainly of cliffs, pebbles or large rocks. But there is a small sandy beach to the delight of tourists who visit Acadia National Park. We went twice: on the first visit the sky was quite dark but on the second visit blue sky dominated. We have also included some photos of the wild coast.
This post concludes our series on our stay in Acadia National Park.

Despite my love of sandy beaches, the Otter Cove picture took my heart this morning. It looks so incredibly tranquil.

Thanks Jacqui. Well, the beach of Acadia is far from being as pretty as the beaches in PEI and Otter Cove was indeed very tranquil the last time we went by.

Thanks Joy. Glad this series made you want to visit Maine. The coast is quite stunning. We had also visited Portland and Old Orchard in May which we also quite enjoyed.

I think I have been on that sandy beach. In the rain. We did not have good weather when we were in Acadia!

Thanks Anabel. If you drove on the Park Loop Road, you would have come across this beach. It is one of highlights of the road. Beaches can be nice in the rain!!!

Not that rain! Relentless.

Oh, that’s not fun.

I love the photo of Sable Beach and the 2nd photo from the top. I guess I really like when rock meets water 🙂
