We couldn’t resist the temptation to present a last series of photos taken in the Gorges du Tarn. Cliffs and rocky forms that emerge from the morning mist at St-Chély-du-Tarn, the road that climbs onto the plateau from La Malène, the landscape that borders the D16 road, and finally, the lookout of the Pas de-Soucy. What beautiful landscapes!

Those first two could be part of a movie! I love the fog and the rocks emerging from it. The gorge is a fantastic place. Thanks for taking me on this tour.

Incredible rock formations, Suzanne. Terrific photos.

Thanks Jane. This area is absolutely spectacular. Well worth a visit though maybe not in the summer as it is very popular!

Breathtaking! … and the face that emerges from the rock in the last photo!
I hope there were plenty of cutouts in the road so you could stop and take photos. It would take me forever to get anywhere. I’d want to keep stopping!
My favourite photo is the 6th one in showing the river valley and that magnificent wall of mountain on the left. Wow!

Thanks Joanne. It is a beautiful area and yes, there were numerous places where we could stop so it did take us a while to do the drive back to Sainte-Enimie after our hike.
Joanne Sisco said:
oh – I wondered if you had been hiking in this area!
