After the jungle, it was back to the grayness of Lima. We had one day left to walk around the city before taking the plane at the end of the evening for the return trip to Montreal. We chose to walk around the Barranco district which is located south of the Miraflores district where our hotel was.
The Barranco district is the restaurant and bar district and is very lively in the evening. During the day, what attracts the attention is the remarkable quantity of very colourful murals that are spread over San Martin Avenue and around Parque Frederico Villarreal. We strolled randomly through the streets to discover several of these remarkable works.
This closes our series of posts on our stay in Peru, a destination that we loved. We say goodbye until the next adventures!

Thanks Sue. It certainly is colourful…
😊
Merci Marie. Effectivement des artistes très compétents. Nous avons beaucoup aimé ce quartier.
These wall murals are amazing pieces of art but my favourite photo in this group is the flower cart by the tree. Thanks for the virtual trip to Peru. Looking forward to your next adventure.
Thanks Jacqui. They were indeed and that flower cart was impressive. Glad you enjoyed the trip with us.

Thanks Eliza. It has been fun to compare notes with you on your trip so many years ago and ours recently. Lots of things have changed but I think some still are the same. We truly enjoyed our time in Peru which is a beautiful country.
